Mastering handwriting through kinetic letters

At Tilstock we know the importance of handwriting and want to ensure all our children master this skill. Being able to write effortlessly enables the mind to focus more fully on learning tasks. Struggling with handwriting can take up valuable brain energy away from writing tasks. Skilled, fluid handwriting is an asset to our children’s learning.

Each day across the school, at the same time, we take out our best pencils and practice our handwriting! It was wonderful yesterday to see every child in the school working hard to produce beautiful handwriting.

We use kinetic letters across the school and our children work up through the coloured handwriting bands. Yesterday they were all definitely going for gold! More can be found out about kinetic letters here.
