Ofsted Outcome
Tilstock CE Primary School – Ofsted Outcome
This was Tilstock CE Primary and Nursery’s first inspection under the rigorous new ‘School Report Card’ framework, and we are celebrating a highly positive outcome. Inspectors praised the school’s strong culture of inclusion, high-quality personal development provision and commitment to helping every child thrive.
In particular, Ofsted awarded the school a Strong Standard for Personal Development and Wellbeing, recognising the extensive work that takes place to support children’s confidence, character, wellbeing and readiness for life beyond primary school. The report praises our “comprehensive and thoughtfully sequenced personal development programme” and acknowledges the many opportunities available to children through leadership roles, educational visits, clubs and wider experiences.
The report also recognises the dedication of our staff team, governors and The Marches Academy Trust, as well as the very positive views shared by parents about the care and support their children receive.
As always, we are pleased to celebrate our successes while also embracing opportunities to improve further. Inspectors identified areas for development around strengthening writing skills and ensuring learning consistently builds upon prior knowledge across the curriculum. These priorities align closely with work already underway within the school, and we are committed to continuing to develop our provision so that every child receives the highest quality education possible.
